DDA (Braille and tactile signs) - Crewe, Nantwich, Winsford, Northwich and Cheshire
The DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) came into force on 1st October 2004. Requiring local authorities, service providers to offer an equal service to the disabled and able-bodied; the sighted and partially sighted.
If you are a retailer, Local Authority or Service Provider, the introduction of signs that can be read by everyone is now a necessity. Informing clearly and effectively for the visually-impaired is the aim of Newman Displays range of bespoke and standard DDA signage. Braille, tactile lettering and graphics can be created simply and efficiently to conform to current legislation.
Clear signage plays a vital role in giving disabled people, in particular blind and visually impaired people, access to the goods, services and facilities that we take for granted, as well as providing a greater level of confidence and independence.
